Ahoy!
After a lot of booching and a sleepless night I have managed to put together a video tutorial for our future DJs, harr! I hope everyone will be able to set up their computers for broadcasting following these instructions. C'mon now mates, send yer applications Gif's way!
What I forgot to mention in this video is that ye'd better disable yer Windoze and YPP sounds or they will be heard in yer broadcast :) I had left them on in the video and would disable them half-way, but being a boochy pirate, I failed to do so.. lol
Enjoy!

I will make an interactive form that allows people to apply to be a DJ. It has access to the Homeland Security databank and will allow me not only to confirm that you have enough time, bandwidth, and desire, but it will allow me to drain your bank accounts and confirm that you have no over-due library books. We can't have that kind of shame brought to the station...
Ok, while the application process may not be so formal..I think the Official Radio Free Cobalt T-shirts and merchandise will be arghsome...it is mostly done...I'll post here when I finish it... |

/em takes Jenna's application and creates her DJ pass, yay!
Gif, do you think we can use the event calendar to assign times to DJs? It's already there and we don't use it that much. The DJ can send a calendar event, best suited to his/her time, and you can check the time from the admin panel and approve the show. This could work on a first come/first serve basis until the "prime time" shows are full.
What do you guys think? And no other applications? :P

IronTom, that was perfect. I do believe I am ready for my official dj credentials and password now! Thanks so much for taking the time to do this. |

Woooohooooooo!
It is time to organize now (in that we have something to organize!)
DJ's
Gif
Irontomflint
Cleashaven
Jennastar
Francia
Elunas
Ladykilligrew
Munchen (mic breaks optional)
(* list edited based on following posts)
Now, when is yer best time? AND...who did I miss? Of course, the only "urgent" thing is to cover special shows...if you miss a regularly planned time-frame, we will survive...but, like last night, we did a special pillage with show and I think we need to be careful to follow through with those...
That said, let's make a regularly?rotating schedule and post it on the site, yppedia, etc...

What's the Question mark for...lol. Yea, I'll do it, just hard to tie down times I'm available for sure untill the last moment. I'm normally available late evenings, but would hate to say I'll do a show and have to bail. |

I can tell ye a couple of weeks ahead of time what nights (and/or days) will work for me, but I'm afraid the times will vary.
Fer instance, this coming week, I would be able to host a live show on Wednesday evening, Friday evening, and Saturday (anytime). My time zone is CDT, or GMT -6 (I think). Basically, I am two hours ahead of pirate time.
And by evening I mean from 4 pm until 10 pm (or 2 pm - 8 pm puzzle time).
The following week, Tuesday and Thursday evenings would most likely be my only availability. |

So sorry...so much junk going on at once...I have, of course, added ladykilligrew to the list, and removed the "?" from Elunas...
iRontom now needs to send you info about how to kick the AutoDJ and how to sign in...but...today no one seems able to sign in...shoutcast seems to have something goofed up. |
