Ok folks...this is where it gets fun (if yer me):
Thanks our fine fellow (who made possible this forum, flag, crew, etc) iRontomflint, Trust Radio is now capable of being on the air. I say it that way because only two things stand in the way. We need people to broadcast, and content.
If you are interested in making a show (a pre-recorded set arranged as ye like) or if you are willing to do a live show (with voiced segues, etc) please contact me. I can help you set up the software to do it, or at least point you in the right direction to find it. It is not hard. There are no required "standards and practices" either, so if you MIGHT want to, let me know.
Also, if you are willing to contribute but not put together a show, it would be JUST as useful to have your contibutions in the way of songs you think should be in the mix, adverts you'd like to hear (puzzle pirates only), or types of shows you think should be on Trust Radio.
If you are able to write, or better record, any content it makes the whole thing more fun. I can put music beds in or clean up pops and lags in sound files and your voice can be broadcast in no time. The more variety the better. Also, any idea you have are more than encouraged.
Already in the mix: music (of course), adverts for Trust stalls, public service announcements (about life on our island) and any number of joke adverts for things like Trust Travel industries. There are endless options here...I'm sure the Stick and Fish museum will be sponsoring an hour or two...hehehe.
My point: contact me if you have ANY interest. And, get yer creative thing going...and send me some good mp3 files...or text files of what you'd say if you could make a DJ talk...you know?
They say to win the war you gotta take over the media...I think we just did.

I'm all for it.... as long as I only hear Alice's resturant once a year. That is 30 (ish*) minutes of my music listening life that I cannot get back!!

Ok, more direct request (that I sorta hinted at, but realize we need)....
We need to collect a sort of playlist of genres and bands people like...and do NOT like...can't promise we will never play songs you don't like, but we CAN'T play songs you like if we don't know to...
So, start yer posting...NOW...

I think we can get the mp3s no worry...I was more hoping for a list of fav. and hated artists...or genres...
I doubt we would prohibit any particular style (Weird Al lol)..but it is nice to know what people want to hear...

I would be willing to record a show you could throw online when you don't have anyone in line. I'd ask to do a live show, but I think I'll wait for the crowd to thin out first.
I have a PC and a Mac--but most of my music is on the PC. What would I record on or to?
Also, while I'm on the topic--a plea for tolerance? I listen to everything, and I mean EVERYTHING. I can think of songs I love in just about any genre you can name--okay, maybe not speed metal, but I can tolerate it, especially if I know it might be someone else's favorite. And I also love to hear things I've never heard before. So I know we'll be joking and giving each other stick about what we're hearing, and we should, because that's part of the fun, but--keep a light touch, maybe? If there's something playing you absolutely seriously can't stand, turn it down for a little while.
Consider the soapbox stored.

Oh come one Jenna... I only asked for one song by Weird Al, not all hius songs
I listen to just about anything. Speed Metal and Rap are two I don't particulary like. I love World, Folk and 80's music.
